Norbertine Tertiaries of Queens Park
Tertiaries are joined to two communities:
- they are members of the community of tertiaries
- they are associated with the community of canons regular
Tertiaries are “received” into the community:
- during evening prayer, on a date of importance to the Norbertine (third) Order - All Saints of the Norbertine Order 13th November
Tertiaries make promises… in public and before the prelate:
- after the first year of membership in the tertiary community
(temporary promises) - the tertiary receives an identifying symbol of membership
- after a further one to three years after making temporary promises
(perpetual promises)
